I worked last winter a lot with Photoshop. Detailed graphics, sharp edges, cleaning up my illustrations. This and a need for me to paint something else appeared. I got that classic feeling of repeating myself.

For sometime I've been pondering about borders. Personal borders, healthy borders, the impossibility of actual borders. Everything is mostly made up of space, we too. The ideal border is to be so comfortable or having such a Star Trekkie world that its existence is never required, and such, never thought about.

I can't paint a restricted surface at the moment. I don't see the canvas as such, it's just a glimpse in a bigger continuity of all visual. I want a colors that seem to transform into one another, as a smog, cloud, space, not limiting, just existing. This also allows me to play with more shades and nuances.

There is definately a so called spiritual side in my new paintings. Existance is awareness. Oneness. These paintings hilight that and are a means of trying to portay something which in the end doesn't have any qualities. The need, being to get as close as possible.

APRIL 2014

I was certain to quit painting in 2011. I did a two year upholstery studies in Finland, which was very interestign and very much fun. I got to enjoy colors there too. My interest in vedanta,(I found an  inspiring teacher, James Swartz, www.shiningworld.com ) put me through a very nourishing phase where i thought art was left behind. Not so. After a couple year break, i find myself, married, in Germany, getting into plants and gardening, and painting among many other creative things. All that has happened has(husband doing videos, for example) lead me to broaden my horizons and try new stuff. most of the comics have appeared on shiningworlds' facebookpage.

also, it seems that i am in painting an abstarct painter-who knows. new work will appear soon.

so this webpage will be a window that life has to offer. hope you enjoy it!
